Just trying to get an idea if any club members would be interested in having any Sunday-type club ride-outs between now and March?
Please leave your comments both positive and negative or in other words for and against.
Cheers

@ paul,
good idea mate, :- there must be plenty of places and attractions open
over the winter months, obviously the weather will not be at its best,
but its still posible to enjoy a ride-out and some laughs. after all it is a bike club.

Just make them very short trips or Brads will be bitching about his knees in the cold.

Paul,
I'll be up for it, but only after Crimble. I'll bet there'll be less rain during the winter months - I hope!

So would I. I was doing the last of my IAM training sessions last Sunday and it never got over 0oC all day, so I can cope with the cold and I got used to the rain in the summer.

Paul,
I'm keen to get out over the Christmas period, in the past i have fired the bike up and gone to the small motorcycle museum at Bakewell. The museum opens its for a couple of days around new year and is always worth a visit. I will keep an eye out for opening days & times and post it on the forum and see if we can arrange a run out.
As for other winter ride outs, I'm up for it, I dont mind the cold but won't ride when there is rock salt on the roads or heavy rain about.
I will keep a look out for any winter ride out arrangements on the forum as being a new club member I'm keen to get out & meet up with other members on their bikes.

Sorry, missed the 28th, fitting ride to Marlocka new (working) fan to my ER-5 on that day, and didn't check the web site. Would have been more fun than freezing working on the bike, but at least i've got a working fan on it for the first time in 3 years. Still keen for some more ride outs in '09.

I went for a ride on Sunday 25th of Jan with SCAM (South Cheshire Advanced Motorcyclists) and there were 8 of us in total. I did 170 miles including the 50 mile round trip to Crew and back to meet up with them. We all had a great time, didn't get cold, it was sunny, the roads were clean, we stopped twice for food and brews. It is possible to ride all year round, all you need is good kit and heated grips!
