Hi all. I need somebodies help, urgently. I'm scheduled to lead tomorrow evenings ride-out, only work has reared its ugly head and I'll be away during the day and unlikely to make it back in time. So I need one of you who was planning on going anyway, to step in for me. I'll do the route, plan is to go to Matlock via the Cat n Fiddle and Buxton, then onto Matlock, then back the pretty way through Chatsworth, across to the A617 at Baslow, past Eyam, over the peak, then onto the A6, down Middlewood road and back to the workies.

If you can help me can you call me tonight, or tomorrow on 0791 7750088, I'll email the route detail to you.

Many thanks. Ben, sorry about this, it can't be helped. I'll pick another rideout later in the year, better make it a Sunday, so that wrk don't interfere again.

I'll do it if no one else volunteers.

Will have to use my route to Matlock Bath though: Cat & Fiddle to Buxton, A515, left onto the A5012 and left again onto the A6 through MB back to Poynton.

See you all there at 700PM.

Ben.

Hey Ben, excellent ride out. Small group but nice to see some new and soon to join members.

We swapped bikes at Matlock, took Ben's 636 with lower gearing and softer suspension for my 636 with Power Commander and rode back over the Cat in the dark. Fookin scary.[Image Removed by User]

Result……both had crap headlights, probably woke a few sheep (wait for the  comments) with Ben's Akro can but got to admit you don't need a 1000cc to have fun

So is smaller better? Ask Gus!

That can is fine for about the 1st 15 minutes, after which you need earplugs. Might put the db killer back in.

When we switched back, it felt like I'd almost no brakes after getting used to your steel braided lines with aftermarket pads - makes a big difference. Liked the gear change on yours too. What do you think that's down to? Same gearbox, must be the linkage.
