Ow Dooo!

Just thought I'd let you know about an event taking place on Sunday 25th July 2010. It's the final practice run for Andy Reid who will be riding a specially adapted trike from Land's End to John O'Groats over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Andy lost both his legs and an arm last October whilst serving in Afghanistan and will be doing the Ride, affectionately known as The Numbumrun, in aid of Help for Heroes: http://www.numbumrun.co.uk/

The whole of the biking community are invited to show their support for the ride and will be meeting at Millennium Motorcycles in Thatto Heath, St Helens (Click here for Map) at 09:00hrs onwards ready to move at 10:30hrs. There is a cafe there, but it may take a while to get served, although the food is worth the wait and is reasonably priced.

The route will leave St Helens, head through Runcorn onto the A49 and down to Lynne’s Raven Cafe just outside Whitchurch where the team will be making a stop for 1 hour before remounting to carry onto  RAF Cosford. (Not sure if Paul Curran will be leading that bit!!!!!).

You will be able to team up with the ride at Lynne's Raven Cafe should you not wish to go all the way to St Helens.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I'll be on me jollies, (and hopefully recovering from a hangover),   but feel free to use this post to make any arrangements between yourselves for getting to, and joining up with the Ride.
