Dear all
I have been on to FIFA regarding the clash between the World Cup Final and my all day ride out to Spurn Head. They are being extremely unhelpful and refuse to move the Cup Final.
As a result I have rescheduled the ride for Sunday 18th July. Details are :
Leave the workies at 8am. We will go through Peak Forest, Baslow on the way to Chesterfield then on to Lincoln where we pick up the 25 mile straight that is the A15. Over the 2.2mile wide Humber bridge ( £1.20 each way) then through Hull's glorious docklands to a pub lunch on the coast at a little place called Kilnsea. After lunch you can sit and do nothing or join me in a treck down the 3 mile long sand bar that is Spurn Head Nature Reserve to the lighthouse and lifeboat station ( and tea van) at the end. Its a £3 toll to ride down it but its a unique trip right out into the Humber estuary. Quick sit on the beach before returning back over the Humber Bridge and home the same way. Should return at 6pm, if nobody dicks about too long on the petrol stops.
Hope to see you there, dont forget to call the ride out number to let me know you are coming. 07554039795.
Rob has done a route for your Sat Navs and my mobile is 07971 403012 should you need it.
