First off can I suggest the lead rider is dressed as the groom with the bride on the back so that way we won't lose anybody

Mark B have you got a route yet or shall we just turn up at the Workies, what time?

How about the leader leaving a trail of confetti for us to follow?

Iam not too bothered about where we go, whether its a ride to Matlock and chill for the day, Rhyl (not been for years), or a longer ride taking all day with a few stops, as long as its away from radio, tv or internet iam happy.
I would suggest leaving the workies at 10am, the roads should be quieter then.
Ive no intension of ever dressing as a groom and i don't have any confetti, although ive still got some unused sick bags left that ive not throne up in.
Anyway iam easy about time or destination, open to suggestions, and there will be a “tail end rider” on this rideout, even if it me and iam on my own.

We could head up to the Ponderosa it's not a bad run and I have some of the back roads on Satnav so we could share the lead and head back over the hills vis Pentrefoelas

That sounds good, never actually been to the Ponderosa.
Would we be leaving at 10 wherever we end up going.
Remember, Wales, baffles back in.

About 14 of us set of just after 10.00am yesterday morning, I got there just in time to get the last of the briefing but did not see any photographer from the Macc Express (my past experience with the dive club told me not to be suprised). I had not been that well over Easter and only decided to go at the last minute. But I am very glad I did. Thanks to Mark for thinking up the idea and to the various people who led the ride from time to time. I couldn't see as I did Back Marker duty the whole ride out but it was a great ride, brilliant weather and well timed stops. We managed to avoid most of the excesses of the radio and T.V. coverage of the wedding but it was difficult in the evening. The best bit I found was Russell Howards Good News Show on BBC 3 where he found a dozen interviews of people who didn't care about it at all “give a toss” was one quote.
But thanks to everyone who took part a good day out!
David G.

Yes thanks Mark for organisiing the run and Pete Watson who also helped as run leader to get us there.
David did a splendid job as back marker and yes the Macc Express photographer did turn up and took a group photo before David arrived I guess.
Great day out
