Saw a flyer up in Matlock a while back about this rideout, was going to bring it into the last meeting but got sent to the sunny south of France by work.
160 miles in aid of the air ambulance on the 24th May from Eaton near Congleton. Tickets cost a tenner.

I think there might be a few of the Alderley lot going so if anyone else wants to we could maybe meet up.

I think this is a good idea.
PMC should host something similar in future. We could do a sponsored vindaloo night at the Workies - call it 'Blazing Backsides'..
I'm sure the Bolly lads would be up for it.

Spoke to one of the fella's thats organising this last night.
Rough route. Congleton > Macc > Buxton > Bakewell > Matlock > Ashbourne > Leek > Congleton.
With a few stops on the way to stretch your legs.
You can pay on the gate but if at all possible tickets should be got in advance to make things a bit smoother on the day.
Up to now 60 tickets have been sold.

60+ bikes on the road will be quite impressive.
People should post here if they're interested so Gary can get an idea of numbers from the club.
I've done this route myself (in years past), and it's very scenic.

If anyone fancies joining a few of us on this run I'll be leaving McDonalds car park in Macc at 8:50am to get to Eaton at around about 9:10.
As far as I know I'll be the only one going from Macc but I'll be meeting about 5 of the Alderley lot at the pub.
If anyone does want to tag along leave a message or just turn up.
The full route has now been put on the Blazin Saddles website if anyone wants any more info.

I went on the run and it was very good. The weather was brilliant and in total over 120 bikes turned up, which raised over £1200 for the Air Ambulance. we set off in two groups of 60 half an hour apart. The marshalling was brilliant, so we did not stop for traffic lights etc but we did stop for lunch at a pub called The Ketch outside of Ashbourne. The kitchen could not cope with the demand for lunch. After 45 min both groups joined up there and over-filled the car park. After 2 hours there were people still waiting for food, as all 5 from the club had things to do later we headed back via Ashbourne and Leek rather than carry on with the planned route, but a good day nevertheless.
