does anyone know of a good place for a ride in / out service for new tyres, a post was placed on the site some time ago but I can't see it now.

You could try SMD Tyres in Leigh; http://www.motorcycle-tyres.co.uk/

A bit of a trek, but they know their stuff, (particularly the owner as he used to race bikes), and they're pretty efficient and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, because they're so popular, you can have a bit of a wait, especially on a Saturday morning.

F&B Tyres in Wheelock. 01270 760795.

Good prices, fitted while you wait. Its 45 mins each way, but a good ride, so not bad.
