Having not seen the race, I can't state how shocked and saddened I was to hear on the news of the passing of Marco Simoncelli.

What a sad loss to the sport, and of course his family, friends, and many fans.

A true great in the making but sadly, and cruelly, denied what was due to him. 

Marco has to be thanked for making MotoGP exciting and I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.
