Hi all new memeber..
Im looking for my next bike, narrowed it down to a gsxr600/750 or an R6, ive test ridden the 750 and loved it, seating positon handling perfect, however my first loves are suzukis so I will be a little bit bias. But i am really drawn to the R6, I would appreciate any negative/positive comments on the them both before I actually purchase, hopefully this winter as to grab a bargain.

One of my mates had the GSXR 750 after trading up from a Kawasaki 600 as he wanted something with a bit more power and less hard work shifting up and down the gearbox. He was well impressed with it.
To get the most from any 600 you have to thrash it and keep the engine howling. The 750 is a good all rounder, he never had any problems keeping up with the 1000cc bikes.

Hi ian,
It will be from 04–55 plate as on a budget, yes im definately pulling towards the 750, but my aim is to do some track days next year as yet ive not been able to do it (tick list ha ha) so the 600 more appropriate ?

To be honest any one of the bikes in that test would be a good choice, alot depends on your riding style and the bikes intended use, personally i would go with the gixer or the 675, the extra torque from the larger displacement will make for a more versatile road bike, 600 screamers are fun on track but can be hard work as a daily road bike.

PS, A 750 gixer will be a better track bike for a novice, the extra torque will mean you won't need to bounce it off the rev limiter quite as much.

Cheers for that, depending on the differance in overheads, insurance etc think the gixer 750 the choice.

If you have the funds this is a good time to buy a bike, theres plenty of deals both on-line and in the showrooms.
If you decide on doing a few track-days next year start a thread on here, iam sure some of us would be interested.
