Fellow Low Riders
Just heard from Chris Barton (Chris Barton Racing/Stockport Kawasaki Etc), the chap who brought his team to the Feb Meeting.
On Sunday 29.03.09, starting at I think 10am ish, Darley Moor will be hosting an “Open” day racing event.
From what I can gather there will be normal club level riders there, along with a number of British Supersport & Superstock riders and teams also being in attendance. I presume to test their bikes for the forthcoming season.
Chris has told me that his team will be there with their new rider for the first proper outing on the sparkly new Kawasaki ZX6R Junior Superstock bike (The one with the new radical type forks), and also that Chris himself ,at the age of 45ish, will be racing Chris Elkin's ex British Supersport BBR Racing Honda 600RR (Just goes to prove that age is not such a barrier to still being competative, in fact its seemingly not too late for anyone…………..maybe even Gus?……………but then again maybe I'm pushing it a bit too far there).
If you have not been to Darley Moor before, it's a great little circuit with excellent viewing, a laid back approach , and about a 45 minute ride from Stockport.
If you manage to get along to the event be sure to go and say hi to Chris and the team
Please check Darley Moor website for more info.

PS Thats two things I have now done for the club so far in 09!!!
