Dear Phil,

Just a few lines to say my son Christian has been bought a ex Paul Young 08 Triumph 675cc motorcycle, he will be entering 2010 Irish ISB 600 Super sport championship and as many BSB 600 Super sport championship rounds that sponsorship allows. As you may know Christian bought, himself the first 675 Dayton off the production line in 05 and modified it at home into a race bike, he had numerous issues with handling, suspension and engine failures, he made one off suspension bits and sorted out valve and timings with Triumph which made it better, then when Paul Young; Triumph tester, entered his 675 with Pirelli soft wall racing tyres, did Christian's bike really come together and vibration problems be resolved but the season was almost over. Christian ended up broke at end of 06 season and had to sell his bike to pay off development and running expenses, he finished 3rd in privateers cup. For the next two years he rode a 600 Kawasaki supplied by Barton Bikes; new owner of Stockport motorcycle center. Which is now no longer open. In 2009 he had a bad off at North West 200 250 cc race, while leading lost front end on a round about and was run over by Mick Dunlop. Braking his leg, collar bone and shoulder joint, putting him out of racing competition for rest of year. I became concerned when first a rider in 250 cc was killed in practice then Christians team mate, in another team he was riding for was also killed: on same day, i saw details on news but no name was at first given. 

Chris known as Elki has run- in the re- built Triumph at Darley Moor and found it a vast improvement over his original bike. He has a 06 Triumph 675 bike for sale; open to offers to pay some of his racing budget, and is trying all the time to find new sponsors to support him this year.
