The Aprilia test ride day that Gus mentioned at club meeting and that was originally planned to take place at Congleton Fire Station early in September but was cancelled has now been hastily rearranged to coincide with a Supermoto race event at Manchester City’s football ground tomorrow, Saturday 27th September.
Information is a bit sketchy but as far as we know the race event will take place from around 9am until possibly 8pm and the test rides on Aprilias will be from around 10am until 5pm.
If you want to test ride a bike form the Aprilia range simply turn up with your driving licence, book a test ride and join a group ride-out with an advanced motorcyclist in the lead. We don’t know and can’t find out if you have to pay to get into the event.
Hopefully there will be other things of interest such as dealer stands, it has been suggested that Michelin will be bringing their Formula 1 driving simulator and that there will be some motorcycling celebrities.
A few of us will be there with the club gazebo to give help if needed with running the test rides, promote PMC and hopefully recruit some new members.
Sorry about the short notice but it can’t be helped. Please turn up if you can to represent the club and hopefully get a free ride on a new Aprilia.
The ground is it’s at the junction of Alan Turing Way and Ashton New Road at the boundaries of Bradford and Beswick in Manchester just to the east of the city centre.
