Whether it’s MotoGP, BSB, club racing or one of several other series, many PMC members are very interested in racing, either through watching, sponsoring or actively taking part in the sport.

Throughout the year members organise group trips to several race circuits, both in the UK and abroad and thoroughly enjoy themselves – both getting there and watching the races – even camping at Donnington in the knee-high mud turned out to be fun.

Several of our club members race bikes in various classes at circuits like Three Sisters and Anglesey. One such group who have clubbed together to share know-how and resources is the loose band of riders known as Just 4 Fun Racing. They can regularly be seen at local circuits dementedly trying to fix some bit or other just before the racing starts.

PMC has informal affiliations with several excellent semi-pro and pro racers including Christian Elkin (the chap who beat John McGuiness at the North West 200 250 cc race in 2007!). Christian is a local lad who will be competing in the 2008 National Superstock Championship on an 08 Kawasaki ZX10.

One of the club sponsors Craig Dunne, owner of Marshalls Motorcycles and a fully paid up PMC member, also has a rising star in his family. Craig’s son, James Flitcroft is racing for the 80cc Spanish crown in 2008 and soon will be testing a125cc Honda GP bike in readiness for when he is old enough to ride in the series - James was born in 1996!
